Black Hawk Down is a 2001 American drama war film depicting the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, a raid integral to the United States' effort to capture Somali warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid. The film is based on the book of the same name by Mark Bowden, which chronicles the events of the battle. It was co-produced and directed by Ridley Scott. The film won two Oscars for Best Film Editing and Best Sound at the 74th Academy Awards.
In total DAM produced two 75th Rangers & four Delta from the film. Among them are SFC Norm "Hoot" Gibson (played by Eric Bana) & SFC Jeff Sanderson (played by William Fichtner). For Sanderson, I went with the version made by Action Figures, as I found the head sculpt is better made & more accurate to William Fichtner. However the Action Figure version did not come with the correct M4 Carbine rifle :( The insane tot of buying both & combine into the perfect Sanderson did come across my mind...
