My 3A KDA TK Mod
I found the weathering on KDA was very badly done. It felt very slap on, paint was just smeared on all available surface, very unlike older 3A releases. (a rush job to meet demand?) His yellow sneakers were too nice to be hidden under all the thick paint, I clean it with thinner. I been looking forward to the Lasstra Luv tee, but it was totally ruin by the smearing; so I gave him a clean tee & added on a DIY mask (made from plastic sheet)!
What I used to make the mask:
• Evergreen Scale Model Styrene Plastic Sheet 0.25mm or 0.38mm
• Smucker's Goober peanut butter and grape bottle
• Ikea tea candle
• Mechanical Pencil outer casing tube or a drinking straw
• Cardboard from ThreeA Real Steel Midas shipper box
• A piece of sponge from the packing material of any Dam Toys
& how I did it:
Trim the Cardboard from ThreeA Real Steel Midas shipper to a 12cm x 12cm square
Cut two holes in it. One bigger in the middle, & a small one off to the side
Insert a straw into the small hole. This will feed oxygen to the fire
Cut Styrene Plastic Sheet to approx 50mm(H) x 80mm(W)
Wrap TK's face & bring the edges of the plastic Sheet to the back & hold it with adhesive tape
Heat the plastic sheet above the bigger hole for short period of time
Press the heated plastic sheet into TK's face with the sponge (not with your finge)
You will have to do this multiple times to get the result you seek
Be patient
If you have a genuine imitation TK head, use that instead
The resin material can withstand heat better
I did bend my TK hair a bit in the process
If you are looking to make a full mask, TK KDA head sculpt is not the best to use as his hair falls over his left forehead
Remove plastic sheet from head sculpt carefully & trim off the excessive & you should have a TK mask!
I hope this info was useful!

USMC in the Persian Gulf War 1991
Dam Toys version of USMC in the Persian Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm 1991) comes with almost enuff gear to suit up two full figures. I added a few old parts from my surplus box: an BBI G2 body & glove hands, webbing from Soldier Story + Hot Toys, boots & rifle from DML. Dam Toys are really good value.
Figure was made to look like Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2005 movie "Jarhead". The movie based on former Marine Anthony Swofford's best-selling 2003 book about his pre-Desert Storm experiences in Saudi Arabia and about his experiences fighting in Kuwait.
